When the mornings are hot, I run along Boulder Creek where it’s cool and wet and not too sunny.
I’m not a pink person. But these lovely Gerbera daisies and mums, and daisies just greeted me as I walked into Trader Joes. I would like to paint them also with some black in the background. Or some aqua.

Floribunda roses- a little past their prime at the Denver Botanic gardens. Watercolor and ink painting on heavy watercolor paper with machine stitching.
And here is an image of something I must have had in the early 60’s that is reminding me now of my machine stitching into watercolors. The mind works in very strange ways.
These gorgeous succulents are from the gardens outside the Orchid building at the Denver Botanic Gardens. I painted them with water color, then drew into them with some pencils. Then stitched with machine embroidery.
