Fresh watercolors to start 2018

I am preparing for a show this Sunday- August 28th- in Denver/Littleton , called the Affordable Arts Festival. I will be showing my watercolors and stitched paintings framed and ready to go for $99 each. Here are three more I just finished. Now: framing day.  

These hollyhocks and gladiolus -with their old fashioned charm, inspired a kind of modern treatment. I was inspired by a Japanese hand printed paper I saw this weekend to pair the florals against the dotty geometrics.

These puff ball-violet thistle-type flowers wrapped in white paper were captured by my friend Marcy at the flower market in NYC.

A subject that has been painted and drawn to death, I still need to tell you how beautiful these aspen groves are….
